The commentary card was bequeathed by Sir Peter to his good friend and fellow racing journalist Sean Magee, who has very kindly donated this to the Anne Duchess of Westminster Charity for the auction.
The charity lunch will also be attended by Racing Welfare’s President, HRH, The Princess Royal, together with Last Suspect’s jockey Hywel Davies, the Lord Lieutenant of Clwyd and 300 guests.
Charles Barnett, Chairman of the Anne Duchess of Westminster’s Raceday Committee comments: “This is a wonderful piece of memorabilia for our auction and we are extremely grateful to Sean [Magee] for donating it. We are also delighted that HRH, The Princess Royal will be attending the day, and I’d like to thank everyone who is coming to the charity lunch for supporting the event and helping us to raise funds for Racing Welfare.”
Whilst guests will have the opportunity to bid on the commentary sheet, along with other fantastic auction items, the charities realise that the card is a sought after item by horseracing memorabilia collectors so they are also inviting telephone bids on this auction lot.
To enquire about making a telephone bid contact Mary-Ann Sandercock, Racing Welfare: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07790 844887.
